Training: a pillar for enhancing professionalism and protecting employment
Intesa Sanpaolo has signed an agreement with all the trade unions to strengthen the role of training as a priority tool for:
- enhancing professionalism
- protecting employment
fostering skills development, employability and professional growth.
Indeed, training is an enabling factor to continue the path of digitalisation and technological innovation undertaken by Intesa Sanpaolo, aimed at improving customer service and internal processes.
"We are particularly pleased with this new agreement reached with the trade unions, which focuses on strengthening training activities. Our bank sees this as an essential element for professional development and employment protection, which will both benefit our competitiveness and enable us to continue building the bank of the future. We would like to thank the trade unions for the work we have done together that once again sees people at the heart of Intesa Sanpaolo's growth strategy"
Roberto Cascella, Chief People & Culture Officer Intesa Sanpaolo
The new training offer runs along three lines:
- qualifying training, which is indispensable to carry out a profession and is aimed at all Group people
- vocational training, on technical subjects and to strengthen the soft skills required in the job
- transformative training, thanks to the new Corporate Academy, to strengthen the skills needed to accompany digital transformation and ensure continuous updating over time.
The new training offer will accompany the Group's people not only in the acquisition of the required skills but also towards new professions, thanks to upskilling and reskilling paths, also on strategic strands such as AI, data, ESG and globalisation.
Intesa Sanpaolo also shared a path of health promotion and prevention with the trade unions, to improve the working environment and psychological and physical well-being through new “integrated welfare” tools.
