Beneficiaries of Intesa Sanpaolo's “per Merito” loan expanded
Intesa Sanpaolo has signed an agreement with the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID) to grant students residing in Italy - and set to attend the next edition of the Interaction Design Programme (Bergamo, September 2024 - August 2025) - access to "per Merito", Intesa Sanpaolo's special loan for students that does not require any type of guarantee.
"We are proud to be collaborating with CIID to offer students the opportunity to enjoy access, with full peace of mind, to a qualified education with concrete job prospects"
Andrea Lecce, Head of Intesa Sanpaolo’s Impact Department
The “per Merito” loan offers financing of up to €50,000 with no restrictions on use. Students can use the loan to cover the costs of the programme and any other expenses, such as room, board and transport. They can start repaying the loan two years after the end of the programme over a period of up to 30 years.
Intesa Sanpaolo launched “per Merito” to restore higher education and meritocracy to a central role in the Italy's growth. Since 2019 it has approved over €285 million in financing for around 17,000 students.
The "per Merito" programme is supported by the Fund for Impact, created by the Intesa Sanpaolo Group to promote credit inclusion with a strong social impact. All interest on the loan is paid to the Fund for Impact in order to increase its effectiveness.
