At the Savings Museum the first escape room on financial education
The Savings Museum presents “Scalata” ("Climb”), the first escape room that helps players understand and learn the principles of financial education by simulating the ascent to the summit of a group of mountaineers.
Mountain-climbing thus becomes a metaphor for financial planning: the problems faced by the players/savers on the way simulate those of managing an estate, such as calculating income, estimating expenditure and planning savings.
The immersive game experience of the escape room is just one of the latest initiatives of the Savings Museum, consolidating its role as an innovative place dedicated to financial literacy.
What is the Savings Museum?
The Savings Museum is a unique edutainment project. Created in Turin at the initiative of Intesa Sanpaolo in 2012, it uses audiovisual and interactive materials to familiarise the public with the concepts of savings and investment in a clear, simple and entertaining way.
Families, adults and children can thus improve their level of financial literacy and consequently their ability to manage their money in an informed manner.
The experiences offered at the Savings Museum include:
- The “Admire” exhibit – a space in which the principles of economics are explained through the animated reproduction of ten works of art
- The artificial intelligence station “Test & Fun” lets you to speak to the museum's two mascots, For and Mika, to discover your relationship with money and savings.
