Each year Institutional Investor interviews nearly 1,200 investors, buy-side analysts, and sell-side researchers from more than 500 firms to determine the "Most Honuored Companies” in terms of best investor relations programs, the best CEOs, CFOs and IR professionals.

Intesa Sanpaolo was the only Italian institution listed in the "Most Honored Companies" for the quality of investor relations, thanks to the recognition of

  • Carlo Messina as the best CEO of European banks
  • Stefano Del Punta as the best Chief Financial Officer
  • Marco Delfrate, first in the ranking dedicated to investor relations professionals

despite the exceptionally challenging moment marked by the COVID-19 pandemic, during which business leaders around the world were forced to make tough decisions as they attempt to lead their companies.

Intesa Sanpaolo was also ranked first among European banks also for the Environmental, Social, Governance (ESG) aspects.
