A €500 million fund to boost the film sector

A €500 million fund to boost the film sector. In addition to the fund, the film sector will also be revitalised with dedicated financial products and synergies with the tourism, design and fashion industries

Intesa Sanpaolo has allocated a €500 million fund to boost the film industry, offering solutions geared around the digital transition, regaining competitiveness, managing productions and opening them up to the international market.

In line with the guidelines of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), the measures to relaunch the film sector include a Media and Culture desk to offer dedicated services and financial support, as well as to promote synergies with the tourism, design and fashion industries.

To announce the initiative, Intesa Sanpaolo has organised a webinar with the main operators in the sector to discuss the prospects of a highly strategic industry for both Italy and the city of Rome.

The webinar will be opened by the Minister of Culture Dario Franceschini.

The COVID-19 epidemic is also transforming the audiovisual sector, which is accelerating its digital transition, identifying new business models and establishing new partnerships.

The audiovisual sector is one of the most integrated sectors in the Italian production system and the allocation of funds to this sector benefits not only the companies in the specific industry, but also the various other related industries.

INTESA SANPAOLO’S COMMITMENT TO THE FILM SECTOR
