Alpian set to be the first Swiss digital private bank
Alpian is set to be the first digital private bank in Switzerland after receiving a banking license and closing a new round of financing. The launch is expected in the third quarter of 2022.
Alpian will provide private banking and financial advisory services for an affluent Swiss clientele. Alpian will round out its offer by integrating everyday banking features into its digital client experience, including foreign exchange and bank transfer services along with a chat interface enabling clients to consult with Alpian’s Swiss-based banking specialists in four languages.
This hybrid model combines a secure, state-of-the-art banking experience with the support of Alpian's financial advisors, allowing mass affluent customers to access a service normally reserved for customers of a traditional private bank.
Alpian was incubated by REYL Intesa Sanpaolo, the Swiss banking group majority-owned by Fideuram - Intesa Sanpaolo Private Banking.
Thanks to the newly obtained FINMA license, which will enter into force upon the completion of certain formal conditions, Alpian will launch its alpha release to internal employees and is set to offer its services to the public by the third quarter of 2022.
Alpian secured a new round of financing to reach a total of more than CHF48 mln since 2020.
