Support for Bottero in strategic order from Enel Green Power

The image accompanying the News on support for Bottero in the strategic order from Enel Green Power for the construction of five production lines in the Gigafactory in Catania for the production of photovoltaic panels, portrays a production line of Bottero

Intesa Sanpaolo and Unicredit supported the Bottero Group in the start-up of a strategic order acquired from Enel Green Power Italia for the construction of five production lines in Enel Green Power's new Gigafactory in Catania, for the manufacturing of photovoltaic panels.

The operation to support the Bottero Group, a top-notch Cuneo-based company at the forefront of glass processing technology, concerns:

  • the release of credit commitments linked to the contract for a value of €34 million
  • club deal credit lines granted by the factor structures, totalling €20 million, necessary for the non-recourse assignment of advances related to the contract.

The new production site will lead to the creation of around 1,000 direct and indirect jobs, €600 million in investments in Sicily and a production capacity for innovative solar panels of 3 Gigawatts per year, 15 times more than today.
