Technological transformation: Intesa Sanpaolo partner to CIM4.0

Intesa Sanpaolo is acting as partner to the CIM4.0 Competence Centre, which plays a key role in technology transfer, the spread of skills and specialisations linked to high-tech production cycles, as well as in the training and 4.0 culture of companies, above all of SMEs.

The goal is to improve services and initiatives for small- and medium-sized enterprises to help connect communities and industrial districts as part of the digital and green 4.0 transition processes.

Intesa Sanpaolo's contribution to the CIM 4.0 Competence Centre is not only financial, but also aims to support companies with growth and access to European research and innovation programmes, by providing:

  • technical and financial skills to access financing mechanisms
  • support from the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Centre for connecting start-ups with mature companies
  • the Incent Now platform for identifying the best opportunities offered by measures and calls for tenders in the context of NRRP planning

Intesa Sanpaolo is the only banking partner selected for Italy by the European Commission for European Digital Innovation Hubs (EDIHs), tasked with driving the digital transformation of businesses and government and making Europe independent of the systems and solutions of non-member countries.

CIM4.0, set up by Politecnico e Università di Torino and supported by major industrial partners, is one of the eight highly specialised national competence centres promoted by the Ministry for Economic Development, now the Ministry of Enterprise and Made in Italy: it supports companies in their pursuit of technological, process and product maturity, increasing their digital and sustainable competitiveness.
