Renewable energy: €17.5 million in support for IRR Solar Alba

Intesa Sanpaolo has signed a €17.5 million loan agreement for IRR Solar Alba, for the modernisation and efficiency upgrading of five photovoltaic plants in Puglia, with a total installed capacity of 5 MW.

The transaction is part of Intesa Sanpaolo's commitment to the decarbonisation targets set by the European Union by 2050, offering services and financial support to companies working towards energy sustainability.

IRR Solar Alba is a subsidiary of Italian Renewable Resources S.p.A., an investment vehicle specialising in renewable energy.

Intesa Sanpaolo acted as arranger and agent bank, in addition to providing interest rate risk hedging for the loan.
