Intesa Sanpaolo confirmed in the Dow Jones Sustainability Indices
Intesa Sanpaolo has been included, for the eleventh year running - as the only italian bank - in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index among the most important global and European stock exchange indices of sustainability.
This announcement confirms Intesa Sanpaolo among the most committed groups in the world on ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) issues for sustainable development and in support of SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
The indices include the best companies at global and European level, respectively, across all business sectors, selected on the basis of the annual assessment, conducted by S&P Global.
Intesa Sanpaolo was assigned an overall score of 83 out of 100, compared to a sector average of 38. The Group earned maximum points in 6 criteria out of 23 total criteria, in particular in those dedicated to anticrime policy and measures, customer relationship management, materiality, environmental and social reporting and financial inclusion. Within the finance sector, in 2021 24 banks were included in the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and 9 in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index.
