Second anniversary of the Principles for Responsible Banking

Intesa Sanpaolo in 2019 was among the first banks to adhere to the UNEP FI Principles for Responsible Banking - PRB (the section of the UN Environment Program dedicated to financial institutions).

Today the PRBs have reached their second anniversary and are well established as the main banking initiative linked to sustainability at a global level, signed by 247 banks in 63 countries (+ 80% since the launch of the initiative), which represent 40% of the banking sector world).

By joining the PRBs, Intesa Sanpaolo is participating in a collective effort to transform the banking system from a sustainable and long-term perspective, in particular, through participation in working groups dedicated to Impact analysis, Reporting and Assurance. In a specific section of the Consolidated Non-Financial Statement, the Bank reports annually to all its stakeholders on the initiatives implemented and the progress made in implementing the PRBs.
