Intesa Sanpaolo has been confirmed in Bloomberg Gender Equality Index 2023
Intesa Sanpaolo has been included for the sixth consecutive year in the Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index (GEI), the thematic index on gender equality launched by Bloomberg in 2018 - with a score of more than 87 out of 100. The analysis involved over 11,500 listed companies on the major world stock exchanges and led to the inclusion in the index of 484 companies.
The index is based on various criteria, both quantitative, such as the composition of the workforce and the distribution of gender in the roles of responsibility, and qualitative, such as the facilities for a better reconciliation between professional and private life, the presence of policies to support a work environment based on gender equality, the presence of financial products dedicated to women.
Intesa Sanpaolo is the first bank in Europe, second in the world and the only Italian among the 100 most inclusive and diversity-conscious workplaces according to the Refinitiv Global Diversity and Inclusion Index 2022, the first bank in Italy and among the first in Europe to obtain the international certification Gender Equality European & International Standard (GEEIS-Diversity) from Bureau Veritas and the first large Italian banking group to obtain, from the same international organisation, the certification for gender equality envisaged by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (NRRP).
The 2022-2025 Business Plan provides for the strengthening of the promotion of an inclusive and diverse environment thanks to a set of dedicated initiatives and a focus on gender equality.
