Intesa Sanpaolo is the first bank in Europe and the only Italian bank among the 100 most inclusive and diversity-aware workplaces according to the Refinitiv Global Diversity and Inclusion Index 2023, an international index that evaluates over 15,000 listed companies at global level.
The analysis is carried out exclusively on public data financial statements, non-financial reports, press reports, websites - based on 24 parameters attributable to four key categories: diversity, inclusion, people development and disputes. Refinitiv, a London Stock Exchange Group company, is one of the world's leading providers of financial research and data.
We also remind you that Intesa Sanpaolo was included for the sixth consecutive year in the "Bloomberg Gender-Equality Index" (GEI) 2023 and was also the first bank in Italy and among the first in Europe to receive the Gender Equality European & International Standard ( GEEIS-Diversity), international certification from the Arborus association issued through Bureau Veritas, still in force. The Bank adheres to the Women's Empowerment Principles - WEPs promoted by the UN and has signed the ABI "Women in banks" Charter. Finally, Intesa Sanpaolo has a consolidated collaboration with the Marisa Bellisario Foundation and the Valore D and Parks - Liberi e uguali associations.
Intesa Sanpaolo's commitment to Diversity & Inclusion aspects is solid and was confirmed in 2023 by an important recognition: the bank is the first large Italian banking group to obtain certification for gender equality for its commitment on the subject of diversity and inclusion according to the criteria established by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
