Impact assessment of per Merito and mamma@work products 2023
Intesa Sanpaolo has published the report on the results (July 2020-December 2023) of the social impact assessment of the "per Merito" loans, dedicated to supporting university students, and mamma@work, designed for working mothers.
Both financing products are supported by the Fund for Impact, an Intesa Sanpaolo tool to promote credit inclusion initiatives with high social impact, with an availability of €300 million, which allows the disbursement of leveraged credit of up to €1.5 billion .
The evaluation of the social impact of "per Merito" and "mamma@work" is carried out through a methodology developed by the Impact Department of the Banca dei Territori Division of Intesa Sanpaolo which is based on a questionnaire - the RIM, Impact Survey - to the detection of the effects generated by the Bank's credit on the beneficiaries and on society.
per Merito
With around 15 thousand student beneficiaries between 2019 and the end of 2023 and a total of over €250 million financed, “per Merito” will produce positive social impacts estimated at €188 million in 20 years, to which must be added €32 million in fiscal impacts and increases of productivity. Thanks to the funding received, a quarter of the funded students (around 3,650) did not have to give up attending their course of study or did not have to change it.
