Intesa Sanpaolo: commitment to a sustainable and valuable future
Intesa Sanpaolo participated in the 2025 edition of the CSR Exhibition, held in Milan from 8 to 10 October and dedicated to Creating valuable futures".
The rich program of events has been organized into six thematic paths: training and work, culture and territory, economy and finance, environment and regeneration, governance and leadership, innovation and impact.
Intesa Sanpaolo was the protagonist in some panels dedicated to sustainability: Sustainable Natives: GenZ facing the health of the planet, society, individuals, with the participation of Paola Angeletti, Chief Sustainability Officer; AI and social impact: a winning combination?, with Andrea Forghieri, Executive Director Intesa Sanpaolo per il Sociale.; Communicating sustainability to enhance the organization's commitment, with Lauretta Filangieri, Head of Sustainability at Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni; "Re-educating and reintegrating: creating value beyond prison", with the participation of Emanuela Percoco - Head of Impact Learning.
Paola Angeletti's point of view in the panel Sustainable Natives, GenZ and sustainability
During this event, the second edition of the Youth and Sustainability Observatory was presented, an initiative launched in 2024 by Angelini Industries with Youtrend and CSA Research.
Paola Angeletti was the protagonist of this panel and in her role as Chief Sustainability Officer, she underlined the most interesting aspects that emerged from the research, relating them to Intesa Sanpaolo's strategic choices.
Paola express interest for the growing percentage of young people who believe that the strongest push in support of sustainability should come from large companies. "I believe this is an important stimulus for companies and for those like me who are in charge of the Sustainability of a large company, it is a responsibility that pushes us to give substance to our commitment".
The CSO then explained how Intesa Sanpaolo is not only active in its sustainability initiatives but also has among its strategic pillars the support for the sustainable transition of companies, both from a financial point of view and in the dissemination of knowledge of the issues, thanks to advisory services and the role of ESG Laboratories in the area to train client companies on the issues.
Finally, Paola underlined Intesa Sanpaolo's focus on allowing young people to have opportunities to train, also to give them the opportunity to prepare for a constantly evolving world, also with loan instruments for their studies.
AI and social impact: Intesa Sanpaolo per il Sociale's point of view in the words of Andrea Forghieri
Artificial intelligence can have an impact on important social areas such as education, health, disability services. New technologies support the Group's activities in the fight against inequalities and poverty, also by providing new tools to identify more inclusive solutions for people with greater difficulties and at risk of social exclusion.
An important aspect related to the development of new technologies also concerns young people: Intesa Sanpaolo per il Sociale pays close attention to this issue, designs and offers programs dedicated to combating educational poverty, with the aim of ensuring equal opportunities for access to new knowledge in the field of AI and the most innovative technologies.

Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni has among its objectives the support of customers' ecological transition, social inclusion and the dissemination of the insurance and protection culture.
Spreading the culture of protection, creating sensitivity and awareness with respect to risk management and supporting customers in transforming their dreams into achievable projects are central commitments for Intesa Sanpaolo Assicurazioni.
The importance of the reintegration of prisoners into work with Emanuela Percoco
Emanuela Percoco, in her speech, citing the numerous projects developed within prisons, recalled how fundamental the importance of building a network with third sector entities is to strengthen the social impact and promote the reintegration of prisoners into society and the world of work.
Recidivism, in fact, in the case of people who are reintegrated into the socio-economic context at the end of their sentence, decreases drastically.
