Next way of working
The Next Way of Working programme aims to foster a flexible hybrid working model. This model combines office, remote, and flexible work, maximizing both autonomy and teamwork to create an environment that supports the diverse needs of Group’s people. Some examples of initiatives include:
- up to 120 remote workdays per year, extendable to 140 in specific cases;
- a four-day workweek (nine-hour days) on a voluntary basis, with no salary reduction;
- new co-working spaces to foster connection and engagement;
- digital tools for time management and performance feedback.
UN SDG SUPPORTED
Launched in 2021 and accelerated by the pandemic, the Next Way of Working program also finds ample space within the new 2022-2025 Business Plan with the goal of ensuring the best professional experience for the Group's people.
The program promotes and facilitates the adoption of inclusive behaviors. With new technological tools, it supports individuals in structurally, balanced, and voluntary use of a hybrid work mode, based on flexible alternating office and remote work, ensuring maximum flexibility in the organization of time and activities and teamwork.
To make the most of the time spent in office, new corporate spaces (e.g., fitness areas, energy corners) are designed to create coworking opportunities useful for strengthening cooperation, sharing, and the sense of belonging, and promote social relations as a valuable resource for unleashing creativity and innovation, expanding networking and promoting people’s well-being.
Time bank and Corporate volunteering
Being closer to people in difficult situation, giving them the opportunity to have extra time is possible with the Banca del Tempo (Time bank): each person can donate some of their leave or vacation time, to which the company adds an equal amount of time, up to a maximum of 100,000 total hours.
Within the framework of the Banca del tempo (Time Bank) initiative, in 2024, corporate volunteering activities continued through workdays at external associations and entities selected by the Group.
> 40,000 hours were donated to the Groups’ people
reaching a total of 155,000 hours thanks to the amount added by the company
