“Tiziano” in the skyscraper

A unique chance to admire a masterpiece by Titian within the extraordinary showcase of the bioclimatic greenhouse of the skyscraper. A place for art, encounters and experimentation with one of the most beautiful view over Turin.

An exhibition with “a view over the city” having as its protagonist the painting Ritratto del conte Antonio di Porcia (Portrait of Count Antonio Porcia), shown for the first time in Turin thanks to Pinacoteca di Brera.

The painting shows a landscape which was brought to light only at the end of the nineteenth century thanks to a restoration which unveiled the background with a window open on a landscape. In 2014 a new important restoring intervention, with the contribution of Borsa Italiana, restored the original intensity of the colours of this nice portrait.

The work (1535-1540 ca) belongs to Titian’s mature phase and was painted when the artist was famous at an international level.
Celebrated as the “Prince of Painters”, Titian boasted a number of prestigious customers, and this is the reason why a lot of noble and aristocratic families wanted to be portrayed by him.

Opening hours: working days 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm; Saturday and holidays 10:00 am – 8:00 pm
