EMILIO ISGRO’: A NEW EXHIBITION AT THE SKYSCRAPER

Emilio Isgrò is a unique figure on the national and international contemporary art scene. His erasures, present on 35 volumes of the Quarantana, the final edition carefully curated by Manzoni himself and published between 1840 and 1842, represent a work which develops into space with the sequence of a movie, alternating black and white erasures, to highlight words and pictures intended for a visual story. All of this gives new vitality to The Betrothed. This real rewriting of Manzoni’s epic work suggests reconsidering the great Italian author, thus testifying his relevance to the present day.
On the occasion of the presentation of the exhibition, the artist, talking to the art critic Luca Beatrice, will erase a text thus creating a work of art which will be donated to the Book Fair to celebrate its 30 years of activity.

Admission to the exhibition, which takes place in the hall of the entrance to the skyscraper, is free. Open Mon-Sat, 8 am – 12 pm.
