Intesa Sanpaolo's London branches support London Symphony Orchestra
Intesa Sanpaolo Private Bank (London Branch) and most recently Intesa Sanpaolo Private Bank (Suisse) Morval SA (London Branch) have supported the London Symphony Orchestra since 2017, through its membership of the LSO Premier corporate membership programme. Both organisations initiated the relationship for the synergies that were foreseen, based on a solid approach to art, music and philanthropy.
During this time, the Bank’s executives, their customers and the ISP business network have enjoyed world-class performances by the London Symphony Orchestra in the Barbican Hall with conductors including Sir Simon Rattle, Bernard Haitink, Marin Alsop, Sir Antonio Pappano, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Gianandrea Noseda and Sir Mark Elder, and internationally-renowned soloists such as Emanuel Ax, Alice Sara Ott, Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider, Christian Gerhaher, Maria João Pires, Katia and Marielle Labèque and Daniil Trifonov.
Intesa Sanpaolo were pleased to continue its support of the Orchestra during the COVID-19 pandemic, as Concert Sponsor of the LSO’s online broadcast on 29 April 2021. Conducted by Gianandrea Noseda, the performance included Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 ‘Pathétique’ and the world premiere of Mark Simpson’s Violin Concerto with soloist Nicola Benedetti.
The first movement from Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No 6, ‘Pathétique’ is available to watch below:
