Strengthening our bond with the region: Intesa Sanpaolo's initiatives for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026

Taking part in the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games is a valuable opportunity to strengthen the historical, cultural and socioeconomic ties that the Bank has forged with the areas where the competitions and related ceremonies will be held. Milano Cortina 2026 will involve the regions of Lombardy, Veneto and Trentino-Alto Adige, areas in which our banking group and some of the Foundation shareholders have a strong and highly expert presence.

The competition venues of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026 will be Milan, Cortina d'Ampezzo, Bormio, Livigno, Anterselva/Antholz and Val di Fiemme, which will be joined by Verona for the closing ceremony. The opening ceremony of The Winter Olympics will be held on 6 February at the San Siro stadium in Milan. The Paralympic Winter Games will begin on 6 March in the picturesque setting of the Arena di Verona and will take place in Milan, Cortina and Val di Fiemme.

Intesa Sanpaolo will contribute to Milano Cortina 2026 both economically and with artistic and communication ideas and projects. It will do this through the Cultural Olympiad programme, with the calendar of the Gallerie d’Italia museum network, in particular the Milan and Vicenza sites, and with education courses promoted in schools nationwide, with financial literacy initiatives developed by the Museum of Saving.
