As part of the disposal of non-core assets envisaged in its 2003-2005 Business Plan, Banca Intesa is negotiating the sale of Bankhaus Löbbecke, the German bank wholly owned by Gruppo Intesa, to M.M. Warburg & CO KGaA, a privately-owned German bank based in Hamburg.
In case of a positive outcome of the advanced negotiations, the closing of the sale is planned already by the end of the year subject to obtaining the relevant authorisations.
