Banca Intesa announces the opening of a representative office in Tunisia, thanks to the completion of the authorisation procedures and the obtainment of the licence from local authorities.

With the opening the Representative Office in Tunisia Banca Intesa strengthens its presence in the Mediterranean area, where it already operates via the Representative Offices in Egypt, Lebanon and Turkey. In addition to Tunisia, the area of operating competence of the new Office will also include Algeria and Morocco, which are becoming increasingly interesting for Italian entrepreneurs.

The Tunis Office will be in charge of favouring trade flows between Italy and the Maghreb Countries, by assisting Italian companies in all their commercial initiatives, offering advisory services for the stipulation of joint ventures with local businesses, for the identification of potential partners and for the in-depth analysis of tax and corporate regulations.

The Office will be based in the “Blue Centre” – rue du Lac Constance, Les Berges du Lac, 1053 Tunis – a new, strongly-expanding area, which hosts numerous companies,  multinationals, banks and embassies.

Banca Intesa confirms the Group’s commitment, announced in the 2003-2005 Business Plan, to accompany and support the international development of Italian companies, via an integrated, active and consistent territorial presence.
