INTESA SANPAOLO: FITCH RATINGS UPGRADES THE BANK’S RATINGS

Turin - Milan, 17 December 2021 – Intesa Sanpaolo communicates that today Fitch Ratings has upgraded the Bank’s long-term senior preferred (unsecured) rating to ‘BBB’ from ‘BBB-’, with a stable outlook, its short-term rating to ‘F2’ from ‘F3’, and its Viability Rating to ‘bbb’ from ‘bbb-’.

The rating action follows the upgrade of Italy’s sovereign rating, raised to ‘BBB’ from ‘BBB-’ with a stable outlook, announced by Fitch Ratings on 3 December 2021.
