Support for sustainable growth of the Società Chimica Assemini
Intesa Sanpaolo is supporting the investments in sustainability of the Società Chimica Assemini in Cagliari with financing of €1.5 million: the resources will allow a new electrolysis plant to be constructed for the production and storage of hydrogen, which is intended both to be used as a raw material in the industrial cycle, to develop the current production volumes, and for sale in the sustainable mobility sector.
Società Chimica Assemini, which belongs to the Gestioni Industriali Group (GIG) and specialises in the production of electrolytic (chlorine-soda) chemistry, is the sole manufacturer of soda, hydrochloric acid and hypochlorite in Sardinia and is therefore a strategic supplier to the most important industrial companies operating on the island.
The financing granted by Intesa Sanpaolo to the Società Chimica Assemini is backed by the SACE Green Guarantee to 80%.
