Intesa Sanpaolo Vita: full-year results 2021
The Intesa Sanpaolo Vita Insurance Group closed 2021 with results that consolidated its position of leadership in the life market and fourth place in the non-motor casualty market, contributing, as a Division, 12% to the entire Group's operating performance.
Below are some highlights of Intesa Sanpaolo Vita's results in the year ended 31 December 2021:
- Gross life business of €18.8 billion
- Assets under management up to €203.5 billion
- Continued growth in non-motor casualty policies (+12%)
- Group net income up to €765.9 million (+9.3%)
- Solvency capital requirement at 267%
In 2021 premiums increased in the protection business (+5%), in particular for non-motor products (+12%), the Division's core business.
In line with the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's new 2022-2025 Business Plan, the range of life, casualty and health insurance products is to be expanded, with a particular focus on senior customers and caregivers, through dedicated services and products in the financial, social-health, welfare and recreational fields in partnership with specialized operators.
In 2021, following its adherence to the Principles for Sustainable Insurance, Intesa Sanpaolo Vita also joined the Net Zero Asset Owner and Net Zero Insurance Alliances, thereby strengthening its commitment to sustainability and the green transition.
