Support to Research for technology transfer between Universities and Companies

The image accompanying the News on support to four national university research centers on big data, sustainable mobility, agritech and gene therapies, for technology transfer between universities and companies, portrays two men side by side in white coats, analyzing together a small object. One of the two also holds a tablet in his hands, the other points to the object with his finger.

Intesa Sanpaolo is stepping up its support for university research by participating, as a founding partner, in four specialised National Research Centres focusing on:

  • big data
  • sustainable mobility
  • agritech
  • gene therapies

with the aim of fostering technology transfer between Universities and Companies, thereby reducing Italy's innovation deficit.

The Research centres are linked to the Bologna Technopole with the National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), to the Polytechnic University of Milan, to the University of Naples Federico II and to the University of Padua, in connection with other Italian universities and with the involvement of companies, in order to develop new technologies aimed at the sustainable, green and digital transition.

Intesa Sanpaolo will be able to participate in the development of the projects, be an active partner in the implementation of models for technology transfer to local companies and help set strategic research guidelines.
