Intesa Sanpaolo and Federalberghi Calabria have signed an agreement that makes the measures of the €5 billion national CresciBusiness plan available to local tourism and hospitality businesses, and in particular:

  • liquidity assistance and secured financing
  • no commissions on in-store POS micropayments up to €15 for one year
  • no POS terminal and commercial credit card fees for one year
  • discounts on insurance coverage and leases of business equipment, furnishings and accessories to contain operating costs

The measures are dedicated to small enterprises in the trade, crafts and small hotels sectors, to encourage upgrading, energy efficiency, environmental impact and digitalisation efforts.

In the first eight months of 2022, tourism demand in Calabria grew by 26.5% on 2021, with an increase in presences from 4.5 million to nearly 6 million in 2022.

Since 2020 the Intesa Sanpaolo Group has supported businesses in the tourism sector with new finance amounting to €6.7 billion and has recently allocated a further €2 billion.
