Aosta Valley: €500 million for flood-affected households and businesses

The image that accompanies the news on the €500 million fund to support families and businesses that have suffered damage in Valle d'Aosta following the floods, portrays a car emerging in a flooded expanse, from which only the tops of some plants and where other debris transported by the water can be glimpsed

Intesa Sanpaolo has allocated €500 million to support families and businesses in Aosta Valley that have suffered damage as a result of the of the flooding events, to provide them with immediate financial support at dedicated conditions.

20% of the ceiling is reserved for the tourism industry, the leading sector of the Region's economy, which has found itself struck right at the start of the summer season.

The measures also include:

  • the possibility of requesting a suspension for up to 18 months of repayment of the principal portion of loan instalments outstanding for households and businesses residing in the areas affected by the flooding
  • zero POS payment fees for transactions up to €30
  • free mobile and virtual POS fees for a duration of one year.
