Intesa Sanpaolo has reached an agreement with Edison Next to promote the use of renewable energy and encourage the decarbonisation of energy consumption by businesses, in line with the NRRP's ecological transition objectives.

In further detail:

  • Edison Next will make its expertise available by offering, for example, photovoltaic systems and systems for recharging electric vehicles at company premises
  • Intesa Sanpaolo will support companies with ad hoc solutions in the implementation of projects.

Between 2021 and the first nine months of 2024, Intesa Sanpaolo has disbursed around €62.7 billion in support of the green economy, circular economy and ecological transition, compared to the €76 billion envisaged in the 2022-2025 Business Plan.

The importance of the energy transition for companies is also confirmed by the Annual Report on Industrial Districts of the Intesa Sanpaolo Research Department:

  • investments by companies to enhance self-generation of energy are on the rise
  • companies with photovoltaic systems gain significant advantages on the revenue side.
