The image accompanying the News on the fundraising for the “Casa Ersilia” project, which involves the construction of two secret address shelters in the Lombardy region for women who are victims of abuse and violence, portrays a little girl blowing on a flower, making its petals fly.

Intesa Sanpaolo, through For Funding, its crowdfunding platform, has launched a fund-raising campaign in favour of the Asilo Mariuccia Foundation to raise €150,000 in support of the “Casa Ersilia” project, which envisages the construction of two shelters for women victims of abuse and violence.

Intesa Sanpaolo's IMI CIB Division will support the initiative by doubling every donation received through the platform, up to €50,000.

The funds raised will be used to:

  • finance the renovation of two flats for the sheltered accommodation and safety of women and children who are victims of serious violence
  • support a year of activity of staff specialised in the reception of victims of violence
  • purchase a vehicle for the safe transport of women and their children.

"Casa Ersilia" will be located in the Lombardy region (secret address) and will be able to accommodate up to 10 women per year and support up to 20 children per year in their school, sports and recreational activities.

Intesa Sanpaolo's For Funding platform allows individuals and legal entities to donate and lend money to Third Sector entities, without the use of intermediaries and without commission charged to either the donor or the beneficiary. Intesa Sanpaolo guarantees security and transparency, with public reporting on the progress of the collection and the subsequent use of the money raised.

With the 2022-2025 Business Plan, the Group, led by CEO Carlo Messina, the dedicated Intesa Sanpaolo for Social Impact structure has been established to strengthen the objective of being a reference point in social sustainability, promoting the themes of inclusion and cohesion.
