Venture Capital: Neva invests in Italian start-up incubator Bio4Dreams
Neva Sgr, the Intesa Sanpaolo Group's venture capital company, through its Fondo SEI - Sviluppo Ecosistemi di Innovazione fund, has entered the capital of Bio4Dreams Spa, the Italian incubator of start-ups operating in the Life Sciences sector.
The investment aims to support and accelerate innovation in the Life Sciences sector in Italy and to retain its value in the territory.
Bio4Dreams particularly supports companies operating in:
- pharmaceutical and medical devices
- diagnostics and e-health
- agri-foodtech and the circular bio-economy.
To date, since 2018, Bio4Dreams has evaluated around 1,600 business projects and launched customised incubation paths for 47 innovative start-ups and SMEs. It also created a portfolio of 15 investee companies with a total value of over €71 million.
Fondo SEI, fully subscribed by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, is an alternative investment fund established and managed by Neva Sgr: it invests in vehicles that implement research, selection, acceleration and professionalisation programmes for promising start-ups.
