With the “Un Ace per la Ricerca” initiative, Intesa Sanpaolo and the Fondazione Piemontese per la Ricerca sul Cancro are once again supporting the Candiolo-IRCCS Institute and in particular the creation of the new Biobank, which aims to:

  • develop diversified, large-scale studies on optimally preserved biological samples
  • achieve earlier and more precise diagnosis and treatment
  • multiply the chances of success even against the most aggressive cancers

with a space of around 3,000 square metres where biological samples, and related information, of cancer patients will be stored.

More specifically, Intesa Sanpaolo will contribute to the project by donating €100 for every Ace scored by the finalists in the upcoming Nitto Atp Finals in Turin - of which Intesa Sanpaolo is a Host Partner - which becomes €1,000 at the final.

Last year's “Un Ace per la Ricerca” initiative, which took place in the same way, has already enabled the purchase of a 'Blue Microscope', an important laser-scanning instrument that can revolutionise cancer diagnosis.

Everyone can support the initiative through ForFunding, Intesa Sanpaolo's fund-raising platform for supporting solidarity projects promoted by selected non-profit organisations.

The launch of the new campaign and the handover of the microscope was also attended by Jannik Sinner, together with Stefano Barrese, Head of Intesa Sanpaolo's Banca dei Territori Division, and Allegra Agnelli, Chair of the Fondazione Piemontese per la Ricerca sul Cancro.
