The IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division of Intesa Sanpaolo acted as financial advisor to Saras in the transaction that saw its subsidiary Sardeolica sell SarHelianto — the company that owns and operates the 79 MW Macchiareddu solar park near Cagliari, Sardinia — to PLT Energia.

PLT Energia is one of Italy’s leading independent groups operating in the wind and solar energy sectors.

Saras, through its subsidiary Sardeolica, will continue to focus on the development of renewable energy, primarily in Sardinia, where it currently owns two wind farms with a combined capacity of 171 MW and a pipeline of over 650 MW at various stages of development.

Intesa Sanpaolo reaffirms its role as a strategic advisor in the energy and renewables sector, supporting the energy transition and guiding operators in their sustainable growth.
