Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg named “Bank of the Year” as it marks 50 years
Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg has been named “Bank of the Year” by the Luxembourg Financial Markets Association (LFMA), as the Bank marks its 50th anniversary in the Grand Duchy. Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg is part of Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, led by Mauro Micillo.
Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg received the LFMA “Bank of the Year” award during the Forward Financial Thinking Forum, where LFMA highlighted three aspects behind the recognition: the Bank’s five decades of presence and commitment to Luxembourg, its designation since January 2026 as one of only six Other Systemically Important Institutions among approximately 115 banks operating in the country, and its contribution to financing the European economy.
“Receiving this recognition in the year of our 50th anniversary has particular significance for us. Over five decades, we have built a strong business in Luxembourg, developed deep relationships with our clients and partners, and continued to broaden our capabilities as their needs have become complex. This recognition is also a tribute to the expertise and commitment of our people and to the role Luxembourg continues to play in our development.”
Established in 1976, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg has grown alongside Luxembourg’s development as an international financial center, building a presence that now spans five decades.
Part of the International Network of Intesa Sanpaolo’s IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, which supports corporate clients across 23 countries, Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Luxembourg’s business spans corporate banking, structured finance and capital markets, supporting international companies and institutional clients from Luxembourg
