Intesa Sanpaolo has allocated €1 billion to support families, individuals and businesses affected by the severe weather events that have impacted parts of Calabria, Sicily and Sardinia. The measures include dedicated new lending and the option to suspend loan and mortgage repayments for those affected.
Dedicated measures for affected communities
The initiative targets households, companies, small artisans and retailers, agribusiness operators and Third Sector organisations that have suffered damage as a result of the extreme weather conditions. The resources made available are aimed at providing immediate financial support and helping ensure business continuity and social stability in the affected areas.
Suspension of loan and mortgage repayments
Intesa Sanpaolo also offers the option to suspend the principal portion of loan instalments for businesses and mortgage repayments for households for up to 18 months for customers resident in the impacted areas, easing financial pressure during the emergency phase.
Access to assistance and support channels
To ensure timely assistance, Intesa Sanpaolo provides access to its Digital Branch via the toll-free number 800.303.303, available with extended hours from 9 am to 7 pm, including weekends, as well as through the Intesa Sanpaolo Mobile app. Relationship managers remain available both in-branch and remotely to provide information and support.
