Agreement with Campania SEZ to relaunch the local economy
Intesa Sanpaolo and the Government's Extraordinary Commissioner for the Campania Special Economic Zones (SEZ) have entered into an agreement to promote new production facilities and relaunch the local economy that calls for:
- support for the sustainable investments of small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the regional SEZ
- reshoring activities
- individual and supply chain business development programmes
- training courses dedicated to the management of companies active in the area
- initiatives with high economic and social impact that can attract investors.
Companies investing in the Campania SEZ areas will also be able to benefit from tax incentives and a logistics system consisting of the ports of Naples, Salerno and Castellammare di Stabia - as well as the interports of Nola and Marcianise - which manage 15% of all of Southern Italy’s traffic, with more than 33 million tonnes of goods handled in 2021 (source: SRM analysis - Research Centre linked to Intesa Sanpaolo).
For the enhancement of the Southern Special Economic Zones, Intesa Sanpaolo has earmarked €1.5 billion to support production facilities in these areas, specific trips abroad to promote them with international investors and a desk specialising in technical and financial advisory services.
