INTESA SANPAOLO: CHANGES REGARDING BANCA INFRASTRUTTURE INNOVAZIONE E SVILUPPO (BIIS)

Torino – Milano, 11 January 2012 – Intesa Sanpaolo has announced its decision to place its subsidiary Banca Infrastrutture Innovazione e Sviluppo (BIIS) under the direct responsibility of Gaetano Miccichè, Head of the Corporate and Investment Banking Division. BIIS provides services to public and private entities supporting projects and initiatives in large infrastructures and public utilities.

This change follows the departure of BIIS’ CEO, Mario Ciaccia, from the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, thus allowing closer collaboration between BIIS and the Corporate and Investment Banking Division. The responsibilities of the CEO will be taken over by the BIIS Chairman of the Board, Francesco Micheli, and by the Board itself.
