INTESA SANPAOLO: THE REPRESENTATIVE OFFICE IN ABU DHABI IS NOW OPERATIONAL
The new representative office will report to the HUB Branch of Dubai established in April last year
Milan, 4 April 2012 – As evidence of the Group’s ever growing commitment to supporting Italian businesses which operate in or are look to expand into foreign markets, Intesa Sanpaolo is proceeding with its plans aimed at the development and consolidation of the Corporate and Investment Banking Division.
To this end, an authorisation procedure was undertaken to open a representative office in Abu Dhabi. A few days ago the Bank obtained authorisation from the local authorities.
The new representative office will report to the HUB Branch of Dubai – dedicated to the Middle East and North Africa (EMEA) – which already coordinates the operations of the Beirut, Casablanca, Cairo, Istanbul and Tunis offices.
The Branch of Dubai, established in April last year, is one of the four HUBs of the International Department of the Corporate and Investment Banking Division and is a new addition to the HUB Branches of London (which oversee the Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Madrid, Paris, Athens, Moscow, Stockholm and Warsaw offices), Hong Kong (which oversee Shanghai, Singapore, Beijing, Tokyo, Ho Chi Minh City, Mumbai and Seoul) and New York (which oversee São Paulo and Santiago de Chile).
