THE EUROMONEY AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE 2012: INTESA SANPAOLO WINS AWARD FOR “BEST BANK IN ITALY” FOR THE SECOND CONSECUTIVE YEAR
London, 6 July 2012 – Intesa Sanpaolo Group has received the award for “Best Bank in Italy” by Euromoney, during an award ceremony held in London.
The award applies to the period between April 2011 and March 2012, and takes into account a broad range of criteria, including operating profit, profit before tax, net income, return on equity, earnings per share, total assets, total deposits and loans, market share in customer loans and deposits, Tier 1 and cost/income ratio.
The ranking is compiled annually by Euromoney, a leading publication in the financial markets and international banking sectors, which awards prizes following quantitative and qualitative analyses of services and performance, as well as on the basis of surveys among institutional traders in the sector.
Intesa Sanpaolo has been awarded the prize “Best Bank in Italy” for the second consecutive year.
