INTESA SANPAOLO: GIUSEPPE CASTAGNA NEW HEAD OF THE DOMESTIC COMMERCIAL BANKING DIVISION (BANCA DEI TERRITORI)

Turin - Milan, October 16, 2012 - Intesa Sanpaolo announces that Giuseppe Castagna has been appointed Head of the Domestic Commercial Banking Division (Banca dei Territori) of the Group.
Giuseppe Castagna, aged 53, graduated in Law, has joined Intesa Sanpaolo Group 30 years ago. Since 2009 he has been General Manager of the Banco Di Napoli and he will continue in this role for the time being.
With its Banca dei Territori Division, Intesa Sanpaolo Group is the first retail bank in Italy through a network of approximately 5,300 branches providing its services to 11 million customers including families and SMEs.
