Milan, 30 May 2022 - The first Intesa Sanpaolo ELITE Lounge of 2022 kicks off today, testifying to the dynamic nature of Italian business amidst a continuously changing market context. The initiative is part of the wider partnership between Italy's leading banking group and ELITE, the private market of integrated services and multi-stakeholder network that is part of the Euronext Group, to support SMEs in training programmes, growth in size and opening to the capital market. In the four years since the first Lounge, Intesa Sanpaolo has supported more than 250 companies in this process, from all over Italy and operating in every sector.
25 small and medium-sized companies have been selected by Intesa Sanpaolo in this new edition of the programme, a sign of the confidence and willingness to undertake solid training courses to deal with the new economic scenario, also in light of the resources made available through the NRRP, and be supported by the expert and technical advice of the strongest and most important partners in Italy. The SMEs come from 11 regions of Italy, of which around 30% are from the south and different industrial sectors of excellence of the economy, including electric, technological, agricultural food and construction. By taking part in the programme, the companies involved will have the possibility to access integrated services and a network of international professionals and investors to make it easy for them to access to the capital market.
The training programme includes transversal teaching modules linked to business growth and development paths through globalisation, strategic innovation, business culture, good governance and obtaining the right financial resources, also in line with the areas of intervention of Motore Italia, the strategic programme run by Intesa Sanpaolo to re-launch small and medium enterprises and with the more than €410 billion to be made available by Intesa Sanpaolo from now to 2026, of which €120 billion intended precisely for SMEs.
Anna Roscio, Executive Director Sales&Marketing Imprese Intesa Sanpaolo: “Today marks the start of the first edition of 2022, which includes SMEs from all over Italy and various different sectors. A significant number of adhesions bears witness to the lively approach taken by our enterprises, driven by a desire to grow and innovate. Together with ELITE, we aim to support this lively approach, flanking them with this training course aiming to expand sustainable growth opportunities on a structural, organisational and product level to make them more competitive on the international markets too, and assuring dimensional growth and investments to assist them during times of discontinuity. It is in this context, in fact, that we make consultancy available to the SMEs for extraordinary transactions and investment banking, with a dedicated structure under the scope of IMI CIB, offering, therefore, them the same solutions that are generally only available to large enterprises. today, we have significant resources made available thanks to the NRRP and Intesa Sanpaolo intends to guide enterprises to optimise projects and achieve the relevant objectives. To this end, in fact, we have already prepared a free digital platform giving information on the measures and tenders published by Italian and European institutional entities.
Marta Testi, CEO, ELITE: “The new companies that today join ELITE thanks to the strategic partnership with Intesa Sanpaolo represent a great many sectors of excellence of Italy’s entrepreneurial fabric. Competences, relations and capital for growth. This is what we are together offering these businesses to help them make the most of the new sustainable growth opportunities. This year, we are celebrating ELITE’s tenth anniversary and, since the very beginning, our mission has always been to create an inclusive ecosystem, facilitating SME growth and access to the capital market”.
