INTESA SANPAOLO RECOGNISED FOR GLOBAL EXCELLENCE IN ITS DIGITALISATION JOURNEY

Milan, 31 January 2024 – Intesa Sanpaolo has been named a Global Excellence at the CIO+ Italia Awards 2023, the 12th edition of the event organised by the business community CIONET, dedicated to the best CIOs & IT digital leaders at Italian companies.
At the award ceremony, held a few days ago in the prestigious setting of Palazzina Appiani in Milan and attended by 23 finalist companies, the CIO+ Global Excellence award was accepted by Massimo Proverbio, Chief Data, A.I., Innovation and Technology Officer of Intesa Sanpaolo.
Intesa Sanpaolo, which has made innovation and the adoption of new technologies at scale one of the enabling aspects of its 2022-2025 Business Plan, was awarded for the digital transformation process adopted by the Group through its Innovation and Information Technology Governance Area, C-DAITO.
Massimo Proverbio, Chief Data, A.I., Innovation and Technology Officer of Intesa Sanpaolo, commented: "This award is further recognition of our Group for its best practices in technology and confirms the market's interest in Intesa Sanpaolo's digital transformation journey. The C-DAITO Governance Area aims to further enhance and strengthen the relationship with the business, ensuring that the development of technology solutions and adoption of new technologies such as the cloud and AI are even more effective, flexible and integrated, as well as more attractive to the business world.
