AUTOTORINO RECEIVES €50 MILLION FROM INTESA SANPAOLO FOR SUSTAINABLE GROWTH PROJECTS
- Resources will be allocated to investments in globalisation, welfare and strengthening the sales network
- In the first half of 2025, more than €1.1 billion were disbursed by the Lombardy North Regional Office for investments by SMEs in Bergamo, Como, Lecco, Sondrio and Varese
Milan, 4 August 2025 - Intesa Sanpaolo, through its Banca dei Territori Division, is supporting the growth and development plans of Autotorino, Italy's leading automotive distribution group with operations in Lombardy, Piedmont, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Veneto, Emilia-Romagna and Lazio, with total financing of €50 million.
The transaction is part of the commitment of Intesa Sanpaolo's Banca dei Territori Division, headed by Stefano Barrese, to support SME investments linked to the objectives of the NRRP.
The financial resources will be dedicated to the dimensional development of Autotorino through investments in globalisation, the development of employee welfare and employee training programmes, and the strengthening and streamlining of the sales network, including the purchase of the prestigious building in Via Grosio in Milan.
Founded in 1965, Autotorino, which celebrates its 60th anniversary this year, stands out for its focus on the quality of its services and innovation, oriented towards satisfying the different mobility needs of both its private and corporate customers. Autotorino has always been committed to promoting sustainable solutions and advanced technologies for the enjoyment of mobility, such as electric and hybrid, in the automotive sector, responding to new market challenges.
Autotorino boasts a turnover of more than €2.6 billion, achieved with approximately 73,000 vehicles (new and used) sold in 2024. Autotorino's rapid development has enabled it to achieve significant goals over the last decade: in 2015 it became the top dealer in Italy, in 2017 it was the first Italian company to enter the top 50 European Dealers in the ICDP Guide to Europe's Biggest Dealer Groups and in 2024 it achieved 28th place by entering the 'Top 30', confirming its position as the only Italian company in the ranking.
