Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia appoints Mojca Kovač as CEO
- Mojca Kovač appointed CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia with immediate effect
- Over 20 years of experience in international banking, with leadership roles across European markets
- Succeeds Luigi Fuzio, who will take on a new role within the Group
Ljubljana, 16 March 2026– Mojca Kovač has been appointed CEO of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia with immediate effect, following a decision by the Bank. She succeeds Luigi Fuzio, who has concluded his three-year mandate as CEO and will take on a new role within the Intesa Sanpaolo Group. Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia is part of the Group’s International Banks Division.
Kovač has over 20 years of experience in international banking, having held senior leadership roles across several European markets. Most recently, she served as a Member of the Management Board of Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia, with responsibility for the retail and small business segment. She joined Intesa Sanpaolo in 2022. Her leadership track record reflects a strong focus on efficiency, innovation, and growth.
With this appointment, Kovač becomes the first woman to serve as CEO within Intesa Sanpaolo’s International Banks Division, marking an important milestone that reflects the Group’s commitment to gender diversity.
Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Slovenia has also appointed Petar Vujović as Deputy CEO. He will continue to serve as a Member of the Management Board.
