Milan, 27 July 2026 - Promoting Italian business excellence and supporting dialogue between Italian companies and the international financial community is one of the objectives pursued by Intesa Sanpaolo's IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, led by Mauro Micillo, through the Italian Stock Market Opportunities Conference. Launched in 2008, the initiative has become a well-established annual event, providing listed Italian companies with a valuable opportunity to engage with leading European institutional investors, helping to strengthen their positioning in the international capital markets.
The 2026 edition took place across four major financial centres – Lugano, Milan, Madrid and Paris – and brought together a total of 27 Italian Mid & Small Cap companies, which participated in 240 one-to-one and group meetings with 106 institutional equity investors. The programme enabled participating companies to present their business strategies, financial results and growth prospects directly to a highly qualified audience of international investors, creating new opportunities for dialogue and market engagement.
Massimo Mocio, Deputy Chief and Head of Global Banking & Markets of Intesa Sanpaolo's IMI Corporate & Investment Banking Division, commented: "Mid & Small Caps are an essential component of the competitiveness of Italy's productive system. These companies stand out for their innovation, industrial expertise and specialist capabilities – qualities that are increasingly valued by international investors. Through the Italian Stock Market Opportunities Conference, we leverage our international network to support Italian companies, creating tangible opportunities for engagement with the financial community and facilitating connections between capital and entrepreneurship. Our objective, also thanks to the collaboration with the Banca dei Territori Division, is to support companies throughout their growth journey by enhancing their visibility and access to the international capital markets."
The Italian Stock Market Opportunities Conference forms part of the IMI CIB Division's broader commitment to supporting the internationalisation of Italy's productive system by providing companies with specialist expertise, an established presence in the world's leading financial centres and access to an international network of investors.
The Italian Stock Market Opportunities Conference is also part of the wider commitment of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group, led by CEO Carlo Messina, to supporting the growth and competitiveness of Italian businesses.
