NEVA SGR INVESTS IN STRAIKER, A LEADER IN AGENTIC AI SECURITY
- Straiker is building the security platform for the enterprise Artificial Intelligence era protecting the AI agents – advanced software systems that, once assigned a goal, can plan and operate autonomously –, the newest targets of cyberattacks.
- Ankur Shah: “Some of the world's largest companies already trust us to find, test, and protect the agents they're putting into production. Having a partner like Neva SGR and the Intesa Sanpaolo Group behind us lets us bring that protection to more enterprises worldwide”.
- Mario Costantini: “Straiker has effectively addressed one of the defining challenges of our time. This is exactly the type of company we aim to support through our funds—one that develops technology capable of making digital transformation not only powerful, but also secure”.
Turin, August 5, 2026 – Neva SGR, the Venture Capital company of the Intesa Sanpaolo Group wholly owned by Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center, has invested through its Neva II Fund in Straiker, a U.S.-based company developing AI-native solutions that enable the secure adoption of Agentic AI by enterprises.
Neva SGR participated in Straiker’s $64 million Series A financing round, co-investing alongside leading international venture capital funds. The transaction brings the total capital raised by the California-based company to $85 million.
Straiker has developed a platform that enables enterprises to discover, test, and protect AI agents—advanced software systems that, once assigned a goal, can plan and operate autonomously. While AI agents unlock significant opportunities for businesses, their deployment also introduces new risks that cannot be anticipated or effectively managed by control systems designed for traditional software environments. The more useful and the more complex agents become to a business, the more dangerous they can become as well, because they expand the attack surface in ways that yesterday's solutions struggle to solve. Straiker’s platform fills this gap by providing the safeguards companies need to deploy AI agents in testing and production with confidence and reliability.
In less than two years since its launch, Straiker has become a trusted partner to leading AI research laboratories and several of the world’s largest companies by revenue, including Fortune 500 organizations. The company helps enterprises deploy internally developed and third-party AI agents in production while maintaining full visibility and control.
“Securing AI agents is one of the hardest and most urgent problems in security today” – said Ankur Shah, CEO and co-founder of Straiker. “Some of the world's largest companies already trust us to find, test, and protect the agents they're putting into production. Having a partners like Neva SGR and the Intesa Sanpaolo Group behind us lets us bring that protection to more enterprises worldwide”.
“Straiker has effectively addressed one of the defining challenges of our time: securing the adoption of Agentic AI, earning the trust of both customers and investors” – said Mario Costantini, Chief Executive Officer and General Manager of Neva SGR. “This is exactly the type of company we aim to support through our funds—one that develops technology capable of making digital transformation not only powerful, but also secure”.
