A year of Think Forestry

As part of the 2022-2025 Business Plan, Intesa Sanpaolo has undertaken to protect and restore natural capital through direct Group initiatives or dedicated customer loans.

In line with this commitment, the Think Forestry project was launched a year ago, which allows Intesa Sanpaolo customers to play a leading role in the protection and strengthening of forests, through a program that guarantees access to a network of first-rate national forestry initiatives.

Thanks to the agreement with the non-profit company Rete Clima, a large planting program has been launched with the aim of contributing to the "reforestation" of the Italian territory, a program in which the Bank participates directly, setting its example and supporting the planting of trees in some major Italian cities, but also promoting the participation of its client companies.

By the end of 2024, 9 interventions will thus be carried out in different areas of Italy, with the planting of over 12,000 plants.

The first year will be celebrated with a planting event at the Valle del Lambro Park (MB) and the initiatives will continue throughout the autumn and into the new year.
