Qorus Innovation Awards ESG Scoring at the first place

At the final evening of the Qorus-Infosys Finacle Banking Innovation Awards, which was held on 8 October in Faro, Portugal, Intesa Sanpaolo has been recognized at the first place in the Social, Sustainable & Responsible Banking category thanks to the "ESG Scoring" project.

ESG Scoring is the innovative and proprietary solution that integrates ESG criteria into the decision-making and evaluation process of the customer profile with coverage also of SMEs excluded from the ESG ratings available on the market.

The model draws data from a variety of sources and its methodology has been developed taking into consideration the best practices, approaches and proposals present in the market. Thanks to a robust and flexible methodology and a rich dataset, Intesa Sanpaolo's ESG Scoring provides ESG profiles of over 230,000 corporate clients of the Group.

Intesa Sanpaolo was also recognized as Transformative Innovator of 2024 for its “constant commitment to innovation and digital transformation to continue to be relevant, agile and able to adapt and benefit from the ever-changing business landscape."

Qorus is a global non-profit organization founded in 1971 by banks and insurance companies.

The eleventh edition of the award recognizes and evaluates the best ideas for the transformation and innovation of banks. This year, 390 projects participated, submitted by 177 financial institutions from 57 countries, with applicants ranging from start-ups to the world's largest financial institutions.
