M'illumino di Meno 2026
February 16, 2026
M'illumino di Meno is the national initiative for Energy Saving and Sustainable Lifestyles, conceived in 2005 by Rai Radio2 with the Caterpillar broadcast to spread the culture of environmental sustainability and resource saving.
The 2026 edition gives voice to science that has been studying the impact of fossil fuels on ecosystems for years and offers us ways to save ourselves that pass through sustainable sources of energy production.
The use of renewables makes it possible to produce electricity, heat or fuels, reducing CO2 emissions and contributing to the fight against climate change. They are key technologies to achieve the energy transition and climate neutrality goals set at international level.
The role of science is fundamental to support the development of the technological innovations necessary to increase clean energy.
Intesa Sanpaolo is once again joining the initiative this year with awareness-raising activities and lighting shutdown.
Symbolic lighting switching off
To raise awareness of energy saving, the Group has chosen to turn off the lights in some representative offices throughout the country:
- Gallerie d'Italia, from 7 to 8.30 p.m. the façade or courtyard lights of all locations will be turned off: Milan, Naples, Turin and Vicenza;
- Turin skyscraper;
- Gioia 22 skyscraper in Milan.
An Innovation Coffee to talk about renewable energy with those involved in research
On the occasion of the day, an Innovation Coffee event organized by Innovation Center will be held on the theme "Let's talk about renewable energy with those involved in research".
We will talk about it with Maurizio Delfanti, full professor at the Department of Energy of the Politecnico di Milano, where he coordinates the University Energy Commission and Filippo Bovera, researcher at the Department of Energy of the Politecnico di Milano, where he teaches courses on the technical and regulatory aspects of electricity grids and markets.
Innovation Coffees are events organized by the Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center dedicated to the discovery and dissemination of the culture of innovation. During the meetings, cutting-edge topics are presented: latest generation technologies, innovative startups, insights into innovation issues, new forms of communication and presentation of cutting-edge tools.
Innovation Coffee will be available from February 20 on the www.intesasanpaoloinnovationcenter.com website.
