Towards a sustainable future: free training webinars

Deascuola and Intesa Sanpaolo are launching ‘Building the Future Together – Soft Skills and New Economies’, a free webinar and in-depth thematic programme dedicated to teachers and students of 1st and 2nd grade secondary schools.
The participation of families is also planned.

‘Building the Future together - soft skills and new economies’ is part of the programmes that Intesa Sanpaolo through its Education Ecosystem and Global Value Programs structure promotes with the aim of inspiring young people in choosing training paths suitable for the development of the soft skills required to face the new jobs of the future.

Webinar to develop soft skills for a sustainable future

The programme will start on November 6th 2024 and conclude in April 2025.
The schedule includes a series of webinars: some dedicated to teachers and parents, others dedicated to students. Speakers will include representatives of educational institutions, sociologists, psychologists, educationalists, experts on the topics explored and business managers, each of whom will bring their own experiences and views on the issues.

What are the jobs of the future? Training paths for a new labour market

Many predictions point to the new digital technologies as a major element of impact and changing the world of work, in fact, as a result of their diffusion

  • - the new work models will be predominantly based on the responsibility for the results that will come from the ability to manage complex productive and cognitive processes
  • - new jobs will be diverse in content, level and value, plus they will be strongly based on relationships with people and technology
  • - many professions will be replaced by hybrid ones that include strong IT and digital skills mixed with social skills, such as active learning, the ability to understand others, problem solving, active listening, adaptability, interacting with technologies
  • - companies will select future talent primarily on the basis of how they do it, rather than what they can do.

A context that makes employment levers decisive in identifying areas of knowledge and skills and, therefore, the teaching strategies of schools and educators, as well as requiring continuous training, understood as constant updating of the skills needed to remain relevant in the labour market.
An unprecedented and radical context that calls on institutions and companies to already propose anticipatory strategies and tools that prepare people to imagine the challenges to be faced, as well as to understand and manage the critical issues arising from these changes.

Training courses for soft skills in cooperation with Intesa Sanpaolo and Deascuola

Intesa Sanpaolo and Deascuola believe in dialogue with schools, with teachers, with families. They both believe that it is necessary to make the ability to transmit soft skills widespread. For this reason, in order to encourage the development of soft skills, together they propose educational paths that explore entrepreneurship and soft skills as key elements necessary for future human capital to achieve digital and environmental transitions in tune with sustainability.

The programme of the training course ‘Building the Future Together - Soft Skills and New Economies’

The training programme schedule offers 4 webinars dedicated to teachers and parents, plus 3 webinars dedicated to students.
An awareness-raising course that aims at suggesting the creation of a soft skill set useful especially for teachers who guide young people in discovering their own capabilities and in verifying their aspirations and expectations.
The webinars for teachers and families are designed to propose concrete examples to be inspired by and practical tools to take into the classroom to train and prepare the current generation. Examples and best practices acted out within a defined framework.
These are the planned dates:

  1. 1.     Soft skills at school - from ministerial directions to the world of work - 6 November 2024
  2. 2.     We are all interconnected: teamwork and communication skills - 3 December 2024
  3. 3.     Problem solving and adaptability - 6 February 2025
  4. 4.     Futures: new technologies, AI and sustainability - 9 April 2025

For students there are 3 webinars designed to draw future spaces and challenges and get them to imagine themselves in and facing them.

The webinars included in the teaching activities of the classes participating in the project will allow teachers to bring experts and young startuppers into the classroom who will talk about future development prospects and current experiences in the fields of the Blue Economy, Space Economy and Life Science.
For Intesa Sanpaolo and Deascuola, the programme ‘Building the Future Together – Soft Skills and New Economies’ is a further step in their commitment to help align school and the world of work.

For this reason, they hope that the programme can provide the various figures involved with models and intervention tools capable of preparing young people for the challenges of the present and the future.
